Dakota Price Increase

Effective October 20th, 11:59 PM
We work long and hard to continually add value to both the end-of-day and intraday Dakota products.  As we do, we occasionally "bump up" the price. Well, it's time again.  On October 20th, 11:59 PM we're raising the price on all editions of BioComp Dakota.  If you haven't joined us yet, or wish to upgrade, now would be a good time.

Dakota R/T Tick Historian Auto Back-fill

The Tick Historian that comes with Dakota R/T has a new and very useful feature: auto-back-fill on start.  When you start the Tick Historian, it connects through QuoteTracker to your feed and requests all ticks for every subscribed ticker from the end of your disk archives to now and back-fills the archives up to the second.  This is within the limitation of your feed's back-fill capabilities, of course.  So, if you are using IQFeed for example, and you happened to be out a few days without archiving ticks, and you came back, just start the Tick Historian and press the Connect button.  Wala!  Your tick history archives are brought current.

One of the nice things about these tick histories is that they are in column labeled comma-delimited "free text", not some binary format.  You can likely use them in many software tools.  Another neat thing is that with the Tick Historian combined with Dakota's bar building abilities, you become your own data provider, giving you control and flexibility.
