New Entropy Bot

A Useful Index Trading Bot
We have created a new bot, available to all Dakota users, called the "Double-Smoothed Entropy Bot".  Inspired by Ron McEwan's TASC article (Nov 2006) and couched in Shannon's entropy calculations (1948), this bot estimates the probability that the price will continue in its current direction, then with two different smoothings, a long and a short term, it counter-trades their difference to create its signals.

The results are fairly good.  Each picture below shows multiple hypothetical equity curves from Dakota runs with slightly varying parameters so we can see the robustness.  I'll let the pictures speak for themselves...

30 Equity Curves on S&P500 emini (ES.RAD)
Average gain of 950 points in 5 years

30 Customer Equity Curves on RYVYX
(Rydex Velocity 100 fund)
Doubled account in 5 years

10 Equity Curves on S&P500 Futures (SP.RAD)
Average gain of 950 points in 5 years

30 Equity Curves on iShares Russell (IWM)
Average gain of 56+ points in 5 years

If you want a piece of the above, get Dakota EOD and use the downloadable "Double Smoothed Entropy" trading bot on US index funds, eminis and futures.
