Wave & Trend Indicators & Bots

In the last issue I mentioned that James Slack-Smith of ProfitDataMiner.com was up to something good down in Australia, working on Wave Oscillator and Trend Oscillator add-ins for BioComp Dakota.  Well, they are now available.  You can read more here...  Dakota users can read more in the forums, too.

You not only get an ActiveX library, but also a handful of ScriptBots that pack a punch on S&P futures/emini and other securities... with equity curves like this:

What you see above is 10 years of walk-forward out of sample data of Dakota stepping-forward the supplied Wave Oscillator Double SMA adapted with Dakota's "Equity Controller" algorithms applied to the S&P500 futures daily data. And here are the equity curves when I re-ran it 15 times under varying initial sets of parameter values:

Pretty good set of equity curves, I'd say.  Performance is not guaranteed and I won't claim that it works on all securities, but certainly some key ones of importance to Dakota users.
