Incredibly Busy

I must admit guilt.  It has been since FEBRUARY since I've published a newsletter.  This is good, because we've been so incredibly busy that our heads are swimming.  Here are some highlights:

  • I have traveled to Singapore, Saigon/Ho Chi Minh City, Vancouver, Rome, Amsterdam and Las Vegas and Oregon since the last newsletter.  I've traveled over 50,000 miles in the airline seat so far this year.
  • Our sales are up 40% over last year at this time, which is keeping us hopping.
  • We relocated our offices to Suite 500 in the same building, increased staff and improved facilities.  In the process we discovered how much "stuff" we accumulated since our last move 4 years ago.  It took a solid week to toss and move all that "stuff".
  • We've implemented two more manufacturing facilities with our Intellect 2.0 commercial modeling, prediction and optimization systems.  The first of these sites is now reporting about 1000% monthly return on investment.  I think we aren't charging enough.
  • We've created a new web presence, IntelliDynamics.net, for our commercial and industrial customers.  Pretty spiffy.
  • We've created and are in the process of releasing numerous language alternatives for BioComp Dakota's bots, stops and new; "Equity Engines".  This includes Visual Basic 6, Visual Basic 2005 (.NET) and C# 2005 (.NET).  This was NOT easy due to Microsoft's problems with COM and .NET interoperability.
  • We've been actively developing our next generation intelligent systems framework, Intellect 3.0.  It is without a doubt cool.  It converts both dedicated computers and voluntary (end user) computers into mighty powerful super computers doing automated data access, modeling, prediction and optimization.  This technology is being eye'd for Profit "Elite" in the future because the distributed multi-processing works like velvet.

There is more, but the list is long enough.  You get the picture.

Dakota Expanded to Dot Net

We've released new versions of both the end-of-day and intra-day Dakota with support for creating trading bots, stops and "Equity Engines" using not only Visual Basic 6.0, but also Visual Studio 2005 (VB and C#).  You can even use Visual Basic Express and C# Express presently available at Microsoft.com at no charge!

Dakota's "Equity Engines" enable you to create your own equity calculations, trading statistics, trade reports and also performance metrics for bot parameter adaptation.  This powerful flexibility transforms Dakota into not only a great off the shelf trading tool, but a framework for adaptive trading system development.

While Dev JAM participants are dialed in on how to build bots, stops and equity engines, we are in the process of posting how-to videos and source code.  Everything is up on the private forums except stops.  We're still in the process of releasing those.

I would suggest joining us at the next semi-annual Developers' JAM in November in Las Vegas to get the most out of these new capabilities.  If you do, you can get your Dakota license or upgrade at half-off with your workshop order.
