Dakota 2.1 Released

On January 7th we released the end of day Dakota 2.1. This edition added a technical enhancement called "Blackboarding" which opens up a lot of opportunities for our advanced users, but what I think is an exciting feature I personally call, "The Super Swarm".

Super Swarm: Shared Signals from Good Systems
The new "Super Swarm" feature enables users from all over the world to contribute their signals, by ticker, to our server. Our server then filters them based on performance, consolidates them using a voting scheme, and publishes them to a private page available to Dakota Users.

Presently we are publishing signals for one of the most popular ticker families: the S&P 500 futures (including emini, SPY, ...). The selection of the first ticker was based on *user* frequency of trading. As more contributions come in, we are planning to expand the securities published. But, that is up to the users and what they are trading. We cannot honor requests. You have to talk to the users.

Super Swarm: Advantages
The advantages are many:

1) new users have access to good signals for a popular ticker immediately upon licensing.

2) the combined signals are equity performance quality filtered.

3) Using a concensuse of multiple-systems from many users and using a family of tickers together creates a robust signal.

Join us in "the Super Swarm". End-of-day Dakota users: Go get Dakota 2.1! Prospective Users: Join us!

Evidence-Based Technical Analysis

In the last issue I spoke of the virtues of David Aronson's book, "Evidence-Based Technical Analysis" and I gave away copies to new Dakota users.

We'll continue that...

For a limited time, I will send you David's book on any Dakota order valued over US$500.

It is the best 60+ bucks that I will spend on your behalf.
