Dev JAM 2008 - Las Vegas |

 |

July 11-13 in Las Vegas... Two and a half days of intense brain-packing knowledge transfer that will enable you to drive both BioComp Profit 8 and Dakota to their maximum performance. For Dakota, you'll learn about how to write "bots", equity-engines, and stops and for Profit 8 you'll learn how to write equity engines,
indicator add-ins,
model optimization performance metrics,
model signal merge methods
and stops as well, using the latest Microsoft .NET technologies.
Only a few days remain before we must have a solid head-count to make the arrangements, so if you intend on coming, it's best if you ...

| Profit 8 is Coming... |

 |

BioComp Profit has been around more than a decade, since 1997, and continues to serve our customers well. With its loyal following and best-of-breed predictive modeling technologies, it is the world's most advanced predictive signal generator available to individual traders. With it's quadruple modeling and validation process, system profitability often lasts many years, compared to other products who curve-fit with models that last days or weeks.
Profit 8 is not "just an upgrade", but a complete re-write to Microsoft .NET and is the first personal application based on our newly developing commercial Intellect 3.0 infrastructure. Profit 8 now draws upon the state of the art Intellect computing architecture. Intellect is well established around the world for many applications, from smart weapons assembly optimization (Intellect 1.0), pulp and paper optimization, refining, oil and gas well production optimization, steel operations and many other commercial "real-world" applications (Intellect 2.0). Intellect 3.0, still in development, is clearly destined to be the world's #1 "process intelligence" system for both personal and commercial use.
Profit 8 is designed from the start to be customizable, enabling developers to "add-in" indicators, equity performance calculations, modeling objective functions, model "ensemble" (committee) signal merging, reporting and stops. With sample source code using the most up-to-date REAL programming languages, you can adapt and customize Profit 8 to your specific needs.
We're already scheduled a Profit 8 workshop August 8-10 on the East Coast (NJ?) and have many "pre-orders" from our good customers anxiously awaiting its release.
Tentative Release: Early June.

Volatility is Your Friend |

 |
|
Price volatility often scares a lot of traders. Risk is often based on price volatility. But if your trading system actually works, volatility is just what you want. For example, here's one of my Dakota systems... snacking up money during volatile markets... (the green line is the equity curve, non-compounded, in points, on the SPY).

Everything to the right of the "System Created Here" is purely "out of sample", hypothetical results gained after I created the system.
Nice.

Fantastic Program !
Fantastic program. I am trading SPY on the open with 1 day look ahead. The swarm is getting only open, vol, and OI and I have a 9 year straightness of 0.9823 with dbl smooth stocastics. I am getting accurate open trades at my broker.
