Another optional step is the application of constraints. Beyond keeping parameters bounded within a range, you can also apply constraints on one or across multiple parameters. This is useful if more than one ingredient is used, but the sum of them cannot exceed a particular value. Or, if the difference between two variables must not be less than a specified value.
